Dornier Moordenaarskloof secures Top 10 position in Prescient Minority Report 2021
Dornier Moordenaarskloof secures Top 10 in 2021 Prescient Minority Report
In November 2020 Dornier released the maiden vintage of Moordenaarskloof Tinta Barocca, the follow-up to the much lauded Moordenaarskloof Chenin Blanc.
It is no coincidence that Dornier chose Tinta Barocca as the red wine grape variety for this wine as so often before Dornier has demonstrated through sound craftsmanship how lesser known grape varieties can offer intrigue, complexity and elegance as a single varietal wine. Dornier Moordenaarskloof Tinta Barocca is no exception and continues to build on the unique experiences visitors to Dornier can enjoy in a tasting of its niche, single varietal wines.
“From a Swartland vineyard planted in 1971. Matured for 17 months in French oak, 20% new. Exotic aromatics of incense, dark berries, earth, herbs, spice plus a little vanilla. The palate is rich and full – lots of dense fruit, bright acidity and firm, nicely grippy tannins.”
“Once more into the fray
He lives no more but to this day”
Only a few hundred bottles of this rare single varietal Tinta Barocca remain in stock and can be tasted and purchased at The Wine Lounge at Dornier. Contact: 021 8800 557
