Dornier Semillon 2018, 90 Points Wine Magazine
Dornier is proud to announce the 90 point score received for Dornier Semillon 2018 as recently judged in the Alternative Varieties Report, Wine Magazine.
This year 44 white wines were entered with 24 wines scoring 90 points and above.
Grapes used for the production of Dornier Semillon are sourced from a single site on Dornier. The vines are 25 years old and planted on red and yellow decomposed granite soils. Yields average at 5 tons per hectare.
The nose shows upfront aromas of lemon rind, fresh hay, caramelised apple and honey. The palate is rich in flavours of quince, lemon meringue and brioche, with a luscious full texture backed by a well-balanced acidity and lingering aftertaste.
Production of Dornier Semillon is limited to 2000 bottles each year and is available to purchase at The Wine Lounge at Dornier.
