Dornier Merlot Secures 2nd Double Gold Medal

In November 2020 Dornier Merlot received a Double Gold Award in the prestigious Veritas wine competition, South Africa’s longest running wine competition. Hot on the heels of this achievement Dornier Merlot has been acknowledged with a second Double Gold Medal as recently awarded in the 2021 National Wine Challenge.

Since the reintroduction of Merlot into Dornier’s portfolio of wines in 2014, which followed a 7 year hiatus in the production of this wine, Dornier Merlot has moved from strength to strength in terms of exceptional quality. This has been achieved through the implementation of improved techniques both in the vineyards and the cellar over several years.

Dornier Merlot 2018 is no exception.

Upfront flavours and aromas of cherries, dark berries and plums with a fine, elegant tannin structure and a long finish.
